Job Description

Role:
– Manage the overall team of 200 associates across locations working for UK region at the Global Capability Centre
– Partner with UK teams to build products and features aligned to the product roadmap using agreed technologies and tooling working closely with GCC based Global Technology Leaders /Global solutions Managers, Tech Leads, Software Architects, and DevOps Engineers
– Exploring emerging technologies, delivering pilots and POCs that leverage these technologies to solve existing business problems, identify new business opportunities
– Provide leadership to the team, ensuring team has a clear understanding of the design of new products or feature enhancements/changes to existing product
– Own responsibility of managing resources and capabilities of your teams; ensuring adequate levels of resources available to meet commitments.
– Ensure knowledge sharing and relevant upskilling is in place for your team where required
– Manage and grow high value technology teams that will deliver products and solutions that will drive increased or new revenue for the firm and create a culture of innovation
– Participate in quality assurance to ensure products are fit for purpose, meet regulation, and are performant.
– Possess a demonstrated ability to assess, develop, and retain talent, as well as draw additional talent to build the capacity of the team
– Build new capabilities at the Indian Global Capability Centre for UK region
– Management and executive reporting for the entire UK GCC team highlighting risks across teams and working with UK leadership team on a mitigation plan
– Recommend and implement integrated solutions across UK business units like Technology, Operations
– Manage India based vendors working for UK region and drive optimal cost

Requirements:
– Academic Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Tier 1 Institutes in India
– 15+ years of commercial software engineering and leadership experience including experience in building complex programs and platforms
– Strong leadership experience, leading multiple teams, providing management and operational oversight, and making strategic decisions in a time-bound environment
– Strong bias towards delivering excellent customer experiences and the ability to lead teams to understand and empathize with customer needs across product, platform and services
– Leading the delivery of complex systems and distributed, service-based systems.
– Leadership and line management experience including managing the technical deliverables of others, managing appraisals and performance, and managing team capacity and absence.
– Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and allocate work within team to support product releases.
– Excellent communication and English language skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams
– Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work with non-technical business stakeholders and align on priorities and requirements.
– Strong sense of ownership of team commitments, deliverables and quality
– A passion for software engineering, high standards and the delivery of testable quality code
– Current knowledge of contemporary and new standards, technologies, tools, frameworks and methods
